Dr. Rob Kadel is a Lecturer in the Department of Sociology. He regularly teaches the Sociology of Education and other courses online in the eCollege system, leveraging the expertise from his full-time position as an Academic Trainer & Consultant for Pearson eCollege. In that role, Rob trains faculty members at colleges and universities around the country on how to teach effectively online, engaging students through the use of collaborative work, multimedia, and Web 2.0 tools. Rob also presents regularly at national conferences on the use of "videocast" lectures in online courses and the use of electronic texts ("eBooks") in higher education.

Prior to his teaching and training roles, Rob owned his own research and evaluation firm specializing in educational technology programs. He is also a semi-regular columnist for the International Society for Technology in Education’s monthly journal, Learning & Leading with Technology.
