Bio

I am originally from South America and now reside here in Denver, Colorado where I have been teaching for the University of Colorado Denver for nine years and I have been awarded four degrees in three different social sciences, more specifically within the disciplines of psychology, sociology, and political science. I currently teach a total of three courses for the university, these being Introduction to Sociology, Race and Ethnicity in the United States, and the international perspectives course Sociology of Global Issues. Some courses are offered online while others are offered online, as well as on-campus throughout the academic year. My teaching philosophy revolves around critical thinking. I am very interested in what the students have to say and how they react to class material. I believe in preparing the students for "the real world" by incorporating realistic class discussions and assignments.
