National Ethics Bowl Team Competition

​​The Ethics Bowl competition is a nation-wide debate pitting the best and brightest analytical thinkers and arguers from colleges and universities around the nation. Each competition addresses such issues as raising the minimum wage, exploitation of unpaid student internships, Stand Your Ground statutes, and the safety of transgendered students in bathrooms and locker rooms. 


Wednesdays at 5:00 pm in Plaza M108 (Philosophy Department Suite)

"Student Philosophers Sweep Bowl: UC Denver ethics debate team heads to nationals"

UCD Philosophy participated in the National Ethics Bowl on March 3, and swept the morning three rounds of competition. The team went into the quarterfinal round as one of only 3 undefeated. The loss in the quarterfinal round was  to the team that won the national championship. With a record of 3 and 1, UCD's team had one of the top 3 win/loss records in the national competition. For the season, the UCD debaters earned a record of 9 wins and 1 loss.
