Offered through the Center for Ethics and Community, the Ethics Certificate is offered to individuals outside the university, as well as to regularly enrolled students. The program encourages community members from all walks of life to further their ethics education.
Certificate Requirements: 15 hours, total
A total of 15 semester hours is required for an ethics certificate. Students are required to write a capstone paper in an area of ethics directly related to their career and/or field of study (PHIL 3840).
Required courses
Total four to seven credit hours
- PHIL 1020, Introduction to Ethics and Society (three credit hours) [gtPATHWAYS: GT-AH3]
- PHIL 3840, Independent Study Credit (one to three credit hours for the Capstone Paper)
