Mathematics Education Certificate Program
Preparing math teachers is a highly collaborative process between the Department of Mathematical and Statistical Sciences in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and the School of Education & Human Development at CU Denver, as well as our highly experienced K-12 partner educators in the metro area. Through the Department of Mathematics and Statistical Sciences, you will garner the essential content knowledge of a math teacher during the first 3 years of your bachelor's degree. Then, in your fourth and final year, you will become a teacher candidate intern, a vital member of the teaching staff at one of our metro area urban professional development schools. During your internship, you will be simultaneously taking teacher education classes so that you can immediately apply what you learn in your internship classroom. For more information about this program, visit CU Denver's School of Education and Human Development website.
