Bio
Dr. French is part of the statistics group in the Department of Mathematical and Statistical Sciences, joining the department in 2009. He received a B.A. in Mathematics from Point Loma Nazarene University in 2003, an M.S. in Statistics from Colorado State University in 2005, and a Ph.D. in Statistics from Colorado State University in 2009.
His main research interests are spatial statistics and extreme value theory with a focus on environmental and ecological application. He is currently working with government organizations to assess the uncertainty in climate-related spatial maps and predict future climate from previously observed data using using spatio-temporal statistical models.
