Kelly Palmer graduated from Michigan State University (B.A.) and the Korbel School of International Studies at the University of Denver (M.A.) with degrees in international relations and political theory.  She continued her studies graduating from Michigan State University with a Ph.D. in modern European history.  Her scholarly and teaching interests are focused on modern European history, with particular emphases on political history, social and cultural movements, and intellectual history.  Kelly's current research is focused on the role played by humanitarian organizations in World War II Vichy France and the intersection between collaboration and resistance.  She teaches courses in modern Europe, modern France and imperialism.
