Bio

Xiaojia received her PhD from Cornell University in 2008, with a major in modern Chinese history and a minor in Russian history and political science. Her research interests include comparison of communist movements in China and in the Soviet Union, Mao Zedong and China's revolution in the 20th century, and the transformation of China since the 1950s. She is now working on her manuscipt on China's collectivization in the 1950s, as well as developing a course on the Soviet Union.
