Bio

Rodney Herring's work concerns the rhetorical effects of language usage in society, effects that are indeed rhetorical but that have larger consequences on class, on civic participation, and on political deliberation. This work unites interests in rhetorical theory and the history of rhetoric, class analysis, literacy and cultural studies, argumentation theory, and composition pedagogy.
