Bio

Nicky Beer has taught literature and creative writing at the University of Colorado Denver, Murray State University in Kentucky, the University of Missouri-Columbia, and the University of Houston.

She has been awarded a fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts, a Ruth Lilly Fellowship from the Poetry Foundation, a scholarship from the Bread Loaf Writers' Conference, a Campbell Corner Poetry Award, and a Discovery/The Nation Award.
