Why Communication

Why Communication

Communication knowledge and skills are essential in our globalized, mediated, and multicultural world. Our department recognizes that we live in "The Communication Millenium" where our ability to create, collaborate, interpret, and understand diverse messages makes a profound difference to our local, national, and international communities. From interpersonal communication through the Internet, we encourage our students to enact effective and ethical communication across everyday life, organizational settings, and public and international affairs.

To cultivate the knowledge and ability to use communication to create a more equitable and humane world.
