Rebecca Burris is a self-proclaimed “life enthusiast.”
As a Colorado native, she participates in many outdoor
activities. Her favorite outdoor activity is hiking with her dog Lola.
Rebecca graduated from the University of Colorado Denver
in 2009, after two years at Colorado State University. She fell in love with
the urban Auraria campus, mostly due to her courses in Communication. Rebecca
graduated with her undergrad in Communication, Cum Laude with Distinction, and
was a member of the Lambda Pi Eta and Golden Key Honor Societies.
She returned to school in 2012, seeking her MA.
Rebecca’s graduate studies have peaked her curiosity of
many subjects including (but not limited to) refugee assistance, international
relations, social media, and civic engagement.
When she is not studying or teaching classes, Rebecca can
be found at the local motocross track. She is a proud supporter of her husband
and his passion for dirt bikes.
Rebecca hopes to graduate in a year, to pursue her life’s
goal of making a more peaceful world by working for a nonprofit.
