James is a current Master’s Student and Graduate Teaching Assistant in the Department of Communications at UC Denver. He is the former Assistant Director of Public Relations for TeleTech Holding Inc. in Colorado, and Senior Public Relations Specialist of Walker Sands Communications of Chicago. He was a Navy Photojournalist in Norfolk, VA and San Diego, CA and is an honorably discharged veteran of the U.S. conflicts is Kosovo, Afghanistan and Iraq (1998 to 2005). 

Originally from the “Rust Belt” city of Canton, Ohio, James’ roots in and around the former industrial hub of the U.S. have fueled his scholarly pursuits. James’ academic focus is primarily on understanding the rhetoric around labor and labor movements, and their political and social repercussions in the U.S. and global markets.​
