The role and mission of the Department of Integrative Biology at the University of Colorado Denver:

  • To educate a diverse population of students in integrative biology through coursework, research and experiential learning.
  • To prepare graduates for careers in biology and the health professions.
  • To conduct basic and applied research in biological disciplines from molecular to evolutionary biology, to advance scientific knowledge and benefit society.
  • To serve Denver and the West by addressing local urban, regional and global issues through research, education and outreach.
