​Bio

Dr. John Freed was Dean of the Graduate School at the University of Colorado, Anschutz Medical Campus from 1999 to 2010.  Prior to that he was a researcher at National Jewish Health and a Professor in the Department of Immunology, University of Colorado School of Medicine.  His research focused on the MHC Class II molecules of the mouse and included studies of the structural basis of their genetic diversity, the nature of self peptides bound by the MHC Class II molecules, and the function of MHC Class II on the B cells on which they are expressed. 

Dr. Freed has served as a member of a number of national scientific advisory boards including peer review panels at the National Institutes of Health, and for the US Army’s programs in breast and prostate cancer.  He is a past Associate Editor for the Journal of Immunology.  Dr. Freed is author of over 70 scientific publications in the field of immunology.  Dr. Freed is not currently conducting any research.
