  • Two Ethnic Studies students, Anne Jacobs of the Osage Tribe and Joaquin Gallegos of the Jicarilla Apache/Santa Ana Pueblo, were awarded scholarships on Thursday, Nov. 4, from the Rocky Mountain Indian Chamber of Commerce (RMICC). They presented the American Indian Scholars with their awards at their 7th Annual Gala, which celebrated culture, business and education for the "Voices of Our Future...Guided by Voices of Our Past." It was held at the Double Tree Hotel in Denver.
  • Chair and Professor Donna Langston received an award from Escuela Tlatelolco for the 2010 Champions of Change in Education

  • Alum Simon Moya-Smith helped achieve recognition of the loss of tens of millions of Indian lives in North America when Senate Joint Resolution 08-031, “Remembrance of American Indian Genocide” was passed.   Moya-Smith,an Oglalla Sioux, helped make it happen. Learn more >>
