Back home in Iowa (home sweet home now being the 1937 school building her parents moved into as soon as she headed off to college), Andrea is known for having the crazy parents who live in a school. Andrea admires her parents for chasing and catching their apparently lifelong dream of evading the norm in exchange for the fun and slightly insane. Her goal is to do the same. She is, so far, unsuccessful. Andrea has developed an unfortunate pattern of chasing boys (rather than dreams) to far away states—having now lived in Oklahoma and Colorado at the whim of others. Still, this last one seems to be sticking—the state and the boy. The only insanity she’s managed are things she won’t share (until you buy her some drinks, maybe), but she’s had a lot of fun wandering around the mountains and barely (not an exaggeration) surviving the Grand Canyon last summer. She loves rather normal things like Pixar movies and camping and driving ten hours to see her family five or so times a year (and parentheses). She also enjoys painting, crafty things, reading, and writing. All of this apparently adds up to pursuing a Masters in English Literature and a desire to force others to share in her passions by teaching them the skills necessary to make them more fun.
