The Writing Center offers students whose schedules do not match ours, or those who prefer to do their work from the comfort of home, the ability to work on their writing online with a consultant.
ONLINE HOURS:
7 Nights/Week:
6:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.
Our online consultations are synchronous—you and the consultant are online at the same time. For that reason, sessions are available by appointment only.

NOTE: On Sundays and Mondays, two different online rooms are available. If you made an appointment in Room 2, please enter Room 2 (below) and vice versa. For appointments Tuesdays - Saturdays, use Room 1:

Once you've chosen the appropriate link above, follow these steps:
- On the log in page, select "Enter as Guest"
a. Type your name and hit "Enter"
- You are now in the UCD Writing Center online consulting room.
b. If you are asked to install the Adobe Connect Add-In, do so by clicking Install.
- Your name will appear in the Attendee List on the left side of your screen along with the Consultant’s name.
The online consulting room is always open; we recommend entering the room, installing any necessary add-ons/udpates, and taking a look around before your scheduled session time.
