· CLAS has the most comprehensive
health careers advising program in the state, and the only BA/BS-MD program in
Colorado--where accepted high school seniors are reserved a spot at the University
of Colorado Medical School.
· We recently launched an
interdisciplinary minor in Health Humanities, exploring health and medicine in
their wider social and cultural contexts. This program will draw on the
excellent humanities resources in CLAS and partner with the Center for
Bioethics and Humanities on the Anschutz Medical Campus.
· The Department of History is the
State Coordinator for History Day in Colorado, which brings hundreds of middle
and high school students to campus in the spring for a state contest evaluating
their analytical and creative skills. Winners at the state level travel to College
Park, Maryland, to compete nationally, and Colorado students have won national
awards.
· Students can earn a University of
Colorado degree while studying in our program at the International College of
Beijing, in the People’s Republic of China.
