The Master of Science in Recording Arts (MSRA) is comprised of 34 credits. 18 credits are required courses, 16 credits are electives, and 4 credits are Thesis/Portfolio. All MSRA courses and any electives taken outside the department to be used towards degree progress must be completed with a B/3.0 or higher. Students who earn grades lower than B/3.0 (including B-/2.7) in any course intended to be used towards degree progress will be required to re-take the course.

Students are encouraged ot consider a miniumu of three semesters (Fall1, Spring1, Fall2) for their coursework, taking only their Thesis/Portfolio in the fourth semester. Students can apply for graduation in any semester (Fall, Spring, or Summer) provided they have completed all required courses and all electives.
* All other MSRA course work must be completed with a satisfactory grade (B/3.0 or higher) before students can register for MSRA 6950/1 Thesis/Portfolio.
