FALL 2012 APPLICATIONS FOR THE MEIS DEPARTMENT MUST BE RECEIVED NO LATER THAN FRIDAY, APRIL 13, 2012 at 5:00pm MST.
The Music and Entertainment Industry Studies Department (MEIS) requests supplementary application materials to the standard University of Colorado Denver application. Applicants are considered for admission the MEIS Department when the CU Denver application, AMMA Exam score, and a successful audition (audition track) or Audition Deferment Form (MIS Track) have been received. The MEIS Admission committee will not review incomplete applications.
We practice "rolling admission" in the MEIS Department. Once your file is complete we can usually notify you of your admission status within two weeks. We encourage applicants to follow up directly with the MEIS Department to ensure we have received your complete application.
Due to application processing time within the University, students are strongly encouraged to submit their complete CU Denver application to the Office of Admissions
no later than April 2, 2012, 5:00pm MST. Students who start the application process after this date may not have their application completely processed in time to meet the MEIS final application deadline of April 13, 2012. CU Denver application information can be found at

Students must complete the
AMMA Exam as part of their application to the MEIS Department. Information regarding the exam and the online registration form can be found here.
Students who choose the audition track must complete a successful audition on their primary instrument or voice.

Students who choose the Music Industry Studies track must complete the
Audition Deferment Form in lieu of an audition on a music instrument or voice.
