Ken Tomczak photoChristie Chambers is a graduate of the Music Business Program at UC Denver. A singer by trade with a love and passion for music, Chambers attended the program with the goal of expanding her knowledge of the music business and attaining a full time job in the industry. During her time at UC Denver, Chambers worked with CAM Records and interned with Sony. After graduating in May of 2005, Chambers utilized her degree by booking and promoting her own music, as well as actively searching for her place in the industry. In March 2006, through networking and research, Chambers landed a job with a company called Platypi, which is a full service multi-media production facility and recording studio. She started entry level as the personal assistant to the owner of the company, Rick Romano, who is an entertainment attorney. Along with personal assisting, she also dedicated time to scouting local bands for the company to produce and develop. In less than two years, Chambers was promoted to Director of Client Development for Platypi. As Director of Client Development, Chambers acts as a liaison between Platypi and clients. She has a hand in every project that comes through the door including video shoots, audio recording sessions, contract negotiations, artist development, and band management. The skills and training that Chambers acquired through the UC Denver Music Business program played an important role in launching a successful and exciting career in the music industry. http://www.thinkplatypi.com/
