Chris is professionally involved in a variety of historic preservation projects as well as issues of sustainability policy as it relates to the existing (including historic) built environment.

Publications

Chris is the author or co-author of numerous professional reports for clients ranging from the National Park Service & US Forest Service to small towns and individual historic building owners. He has also written scholarly articles on the topics of historic preservation, building technology, and policy innovation; and is currently working on a book, Heritage on the Make: Assembling Chicago's Architectural Past (and Future).
