Background
The CYFC Initiative was launched on June 13, 2006, with presentations by Mayor John Hickenlooper, DPS Superintendent Michael Bennet, and University of Colorado Chancellor Gregory Stiegman. It is coordinated by three founding partners: Assets for Colorado Youth; the Children, Youth and Environments Center at the University of Colorado; and the Mayor’s Office for Education and Children.
