Denver's Child & Youth Friendly City Initiative

About

This initiative, a partnership between CYE, the Mayor’s Office for Education and Children, and Assets for Colorado Youth (ACY), was discontinued when the mayor’s office did not renew funding and ACY ceased operations in 2010. Inspired by innovative efforts around the world to create healthy, high-functioning cities for all, Denver’s Child & Youth Friendly City Initiative aims to: ensure children and youth have a voice and are decision makers in their communities and in Denver, strengthen people and places that make children and youth feel recognized and valued in Denver, and ensure that Denver supports the healthy development of children and youth.
