The three goals the Denver Child/Youth Friendly Cities Initiative are to:

1. ensure children and youth have a voice and are decision-makers in their communities and in Denver;
2. support people and places that make children and youth feel valued and recognized in the city; and
3. create a city that supports the healthy development of children and youth.

The core focus of the initiative throughout 2007 is a community-wide conversation about what makes, or will make, Denver a child- and youth-friendly city.
