What We Do
Our Design and Planning professionals and student
interns respond to rural and urban community requests for design and planning assistance. Our projects range from conceptual design, to
3D modeling, to downtown economic growth and revitalization. Whatever the size and scope of the project,
CCCD PDCE can help to make your community a better place to live, work and
play.
Who We Assist
The Colorado Center for Community Development
works in communities large and small, rural and urban, in towns that never
thought they needed outside assistance, and in historically underserved
neighborhoods.
Rural Communities
CCCD responds to the design and planning related needs of underserved
and resource-limited rural communities throughout the state.
Urban Communities
CCCD serves urban communities by targeting development assistance
primarily to community-based, non-profit organizations that serve low-income
and/or minority neighborhoods in the Denver Metropolitan area.
How We Are Different
Our multidisciplinary approach is rooted in shared knowledge and
collaboration. CCCD fosters a diverse
teaching, research, and learning environment in which graduate students gain
valuable design and community development experience. Underserved Colorado communities
receive the planning, design, and civic engagement assistance they need to
support more sustainable, healthy lifestyles.
