Boulder Admissions
The undergraduate program of the College of Architecture and Planning (CAP) is located at the University of Colorado at Boulder, one of the most beautiful and vibrant residential campuses in the country. Besides its location on a unique campus which was recently ranked a "Best Buy" in the 2007 edition of The Fiske Guide to Colleges, this program is also the only pre-professional architecture and planning program in the state of Colorado. Find out if the Boulder campus is right for you.
Since the undergraduate program is located on the Boulder campus, your admission will be handled by the Boulder Admissions Office (which is why this site will sometimes link over to the CU-Boulder site). The following information is strictly for incoming first-year students – if you are a transfer or international student please select the classification that applies to you (see below if you are unsure of your classification).
Application Process
What type of student are you?
- First-year Student
You are a freshman applicant if you are currently enrolled in high school or you have earned a high school diploma or its equivalent and have not enrolled at any college or university since graduation.
- Transfer Student
You are a transfer applicant if you have enrolled at another college or university or another campus of the University of Colorado (including the Division of Continuing Education and Professional Studies) since earning a high school diploma or its equivalent. You are not a transfer student if you have taken college-level classes while still enrolled in high school.
- International Student
You are considered an international student if you already have, or will be applying for, a temporary U.S. visa (most commonly the F-1 and J-1 visas). If you are a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, asylee, or refugee – or if you have submitted the Form I-485 to the Department of Homeland Security in application for permanent residency status and have received a receipt for the form – you should use the appropriate domestic application.
- Readmit Student
If you are applying to a degree program at Boulder that you were previously enrolled in or to another program at the undergraduate level, you are required to visit the readmit page on the Boulder site. If you want an application sent to you, simply call (303) 492-6301.
