Steps to take to prepare yourself

On your cell phone, list your most reliable, main contact as an “ICE” or In Case of Emergency contact.  If you are in an accident and unable to communicate, the police will use your cell phone to call your “ICE” contact to inform them of your situation.  It would be best if your “ICE” person was in the USA and has some English-speaking ability.

ISSS also recommends that you keep a list of important contacts to call in case of an emergency

  • Primary:  Parents, spouse, close family member or friend
  • Secondary:  Trusted friend or family members
  • Immigration contact: Main number for ISSS of 303-315-2230
  • “ICE” In Case of Emergency
  • Embassy/Consulate in the USA
