This intensive, 6 credit, multi-level studio examines the diverse effects and manifestations of tourism development in Bodrum, a peninsula in the southwest corner of Turkey along the Aegean Sea.
Rome offers an unmatched wealth of diversity in western architectural history. Consequently in its vibrant urban environment issues such as architectural design, preservation and adaptive reuse, planning, infrastructure and landscape may be studied.
Urban Design Studio will expose students to the complexities and elegance of successful urban design in one of the most progressive parts of the world.
Finland is recognized internationally for the quality of its design and particularly admired relationship to nature. Design excellence in general is highly appreciated and widely supported to an extent practically unknown elsewhere. Students meet and engage with local design professionals and Finnish students.
This Global Study will provide a broad introduction to Thai cultural and architectural traditions from the vernacular to urbanism, from temples and palaces to the hectic pace of urban Bangkok.
In this Winterim project, students fully explore the design phase implementation, estimating, scheduling and project management skills required in traditional construction.
