As the Asia Specialist in International Admissions, Clay Harmon serves international students from around the world, while focusing his marketing and recruitment efforts on Asian countries. His admissions portfolio includes the School of Education & Human Development, the College of Nursing, and some majors in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, in addition to the International College Beijing (ICB) program. Clay has a BA in Asian Studies from the University of Puget Sound and studied abroad in Taiwan and mainland China, where he became fluent in Mandarin Chinese. He has an Ed M in Higher Education from Harvard University. Before coming to CU Denver, Clay has worked in both international admissions and study abroad, and has directed three study abroad programs in China. A Colorado native, Clay loves spending time in the Rocky Mountains (but not for skiing). He has traveled extensively in Europe and Asia and enjoys cooking, attending theatrical and choral performances, and reading novels by Indian authors.
