Examination of a Global Leader in Healthcare, IT, & Sustainability

Maymester 2014

Long known for its Engineering expertise, Germany has excelled in multiple industries across Europe and the globe. With a history of innovation and entrepreneurship, Germany has established itself as a leader in traditional industries such as Automobiles, Banking, and Information Technology.

Germany has also used its ingenuity to create pioneering policies around social programs like education, healthcare and environmental sustainability. In this study abroad course, students will learn directly about business and public policies that put Germany at the forefront of economic progress.

The course will focus on three subjects; (1) Healthcare, (2) Information Technology, and (3) Sustainability. These three specialties represent key drivers of future economic growth and social progress in the state of Colorado and the U.S. By completing this course, students will be better prepared for taking advantage of future opportunities in these three flourishing areas.
