3rd-year Clinical Rotation in Guatemala

During their 3rd-year, CHA/PA students may complete their "community clinic" rotation in one of two locations in Guatemala. Students are expected to have intermediate-level Spanish or better. 

UNOP, la Unidad Nacional de Oncología Pediatríca (National Pediatric Oncology Hospital in English), a state-of-the-art Pediatric Oncology hospital is located in Guatemala City.

Centro de Salud Bárbara is a rural clinic in San Juan Sacatepequez​, 30 minutes outside of Antigua, Guatemala and run by the medical school of the University Fransisco Marroquín.

3 credits. Additional study abroad charge applies, covering on-site accommodations and international health insurance. No language instruction included.​
