I was born and raised in Pennsylvania. I have been working
with English language learners for over ten years. I started out as a
conversation partner while studying a B.S in Spanish at Penn State
University. I taught English as a second language in Mexico, Korea, San Diego and Denver. As of May 2011, I shifted my focus away from
teaching and started working as an administrator. I love working with
international students and helping them get started with this new chapter of
their lives. In my free time I enjoy being outside with my family; biking,
hiking, and camping are at the top of my list. During the colder months, I am
active with swimming and yoga along with indulging in Korean drama.
"Students at the ESL Academy are expected to work hard. One of the many benefits to this is once you finish our intensive English program, you will be better prepared for the rigors of university life and you will not have to take the IELTS or TOEFL to prove English language proficiency."
