Important: the ESL Academy does not accept beginners. There are no beginner classes. If you are a beginner, please apply later, when you have at least four months of learning English.

If any other additional information is requested or required please submit it to the ESL Academy.

If you live in Denver, you are required to visit the ESL Academy on a Friday afternoon to test your level of English. The ESL Coordinator will invite you to take this test in an email.

If you receive an admission letter from the ESL Academy, you will be required to register your acceptance of the offer of admission. Instructions for how to do so will be included in the admission letter. In addition, you will be required to submit a financial guarantee letter or bank statement. Additional instructions will be included in the admission letter.

Following completion of these steps, the ESL Academy will transfer your file to the International Student & Scholar Services unit for review and issuance of the Form I-20.

Admission to the ESL Academy does not constitute admission to any academic program at the University of Colorado Denver, nor does it guarantee future admission.

A separate application must be submitted to apply to an academic program at the University of Colorado Denver. Students who successfully complete the ESL Academy may waive the TOEFL/IELTS requirement. For more information on admission to a degree seeking program please visit International Admissions
