John is the Director of Global Education/Study Abroad serving the CU Denver downtown campus and the Anschutz Medical Campus (AMC). John holds a BA in French and International Affairs and an MIM in International Management from Thunderbird. A returned Peace Corps volunteer, he has lived and worked in Belgium, Morocco, Japan and the UK. John generally meets with students applying to national scholarships, e.g. Gilman, Boren, Fulbright, IIPP, etc. as well as those traveling to "High Risk" destinations. |

Meghan Zafuto is a Study Abroad Coordinator at CU Denver's Office of Global Education. While earning her degree in International Studies at the University of Colorado Denver, she spent a semester in Florence, Italy. Since her time in Italy, she has also travelled to the Czech Republic, England, France, Greece, Ireland, Mexico, and Switzerland. While she loves Europe, her next travel goal is South America! |

Jessica is the Asia Study Abroad Coordinator at CU Denver’s Office of Global Education. She advises students who are interested in studying abroad in Asia and the Middle east, coordinates CU Denver’s Semester in Beijing Program, and works towards diversifying study abroad at CU Denver. Jessica studied abroad and volunteered for four months in India, taught English for a year in Vietnam, and has travelled to China, Malaysia, Singapore, Cambodia, Thailand and Israel. She has Master’s degree in International Education from the SIT Graduate Institute in Vermont. |

Daniel is a Study Abroad Peer Advisor. He is an International Studies major at CU Denver with a focus on Latin America. He has studied abroad for a year in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and has also traveled to Uruguay and Chile. Daniel received the Gilman Scholarship to study abroad. Next travel plans: traveling through all of Latin America. Daniel can advise students and parents in Spanish and American Sign Language. Alex is a French major at CU Denver. He has recently studied abroad in France. An avid traveler, he has also lived in Switzerland for a year, and has visited Italy, Greece, Thailand, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, and New Zealand. Alex longs to get back to his origins by visiting the Russian motherland... or Wyoming.

Marisa is an Art History major at CU Denver. During the Fall of 2012 she studied abroad in the capital city of Amman, Jordan, with the help of the Gilman Scholarship. In addition to studying in Jordan, Marisa has traveled, volunteeered and worked in the courtries of: Costa Rica, New Zealand, Greece, Turkey, Italy, Spain, Serbia, Kosovo, The Czech Republic and Israel. Next wanderlust plans: exploring the rest of the world.

Danee is pursuing a Marketing degree at CU Denver She studied Fashion, Food & Wine culture, and Design in Florence, Italy for a semester and received the Gilman scholarship. While oversees she travelled throughout Europe including Spain, Germany, Ireland, The Netherlands, Czech Republic, France, and The United Kingdom. She is making travel plans to attend the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Kelly is an International Studies major at CU Denver. He studied abroad for a semester in Morocco and also attended our Food Fight Global Study program in Spain. He has also visited Holland and France. His future plans are now focused on completing his minor in French at a francophone speaking country somewhere in Africa or perhaps the south of France.
