Program fees are comprehensive. The CU Denver fee includes tuition, housing, international medical insurance, and local excursions. Some programs include some meals, most do not. The fee does not include international airfares, visa processing fees, passport fees, and personal expenses, etc. View each program's page to learn more about what is and is not included.

Applying to Global Study programs is an easy on-line process. Go the your chosen program and click on the "Apply" button to get started. Generally, students must be in good academic standing at CU Denver with a GPA of 2.5. Most programs do not have prerequisites. Some programs require an essay or an interview with the faculty member. NOTE that your application is not complete, and therefore cannot be reviewed until ALL materials have been submitted.
We welcome non-University of Colorado Denver students! You may apply to our online system while indicating your home institution. You will need a separate "Quick Admit" admission as a non-degree student to the university. This is an easy process with a minimum amount of paperwork. Your home school is responsible for financial aid, scholarships, and credit transfer. Students are responsible for verifying their home school's policies. We can help you with any necessary documentation. Please contact a CU Denver Study Abroad Advisor.
After completing the online application, the faculty leader(s) and Global Education will review and admit students to the program. This process may take some time, depending upon when you applied. Please note that many programs fill quickly, so the sooner you complete your application the better.
This would be a good time to obtain a passport if you do not already have one. Also, check the visa requirements for your destination country. Securing the appropriate visa can be a lengthy process.
Once you have been accepted to your program, you will need to commit and paying program fees. If you do not commit within one week, you may be dropped from the program. Also, delays in students' committing impact the decision date for the program to be confirmed. Global Education will notify all applicants once the minimum number of committed students has been established. Please do not purchase your plane ticket until the program has been officially confirmed!
