A Ph.D. student at the University of Kentucky
(UK), Anthony is currently preparing his dissertation titled “Exiled from
China: Chinese Missionaries, Chinese
Christians, and Missions in East Asia, 1949-1979,” having already presented
parts thereof at conferences at his home institution, as well as at Virginia
Tech and Dartmouth. As a doctoral
student at UK, he has served as an instructor of history and writing, as well
as in a number of administrative and academic roles at the writing center. And has received a number of prestigious
awards, including a UK Presidential Fellowship for the 2011-2012 academic year.
