An assistant professor in the Department of Mathematical and
Statistical Sciences at the University of Colorado Denver, Dr. Engau earned an
M.S. and Ph.D. in Mathematics at Clemson University, and an M.S. and
undergraduate degree from separate institutions in Germany. Author of numerous published (and
to-be-published) articles in professional journals and books, Dr. Engau has
presented some 30 papers at various locations in the U.S., Canada, Switzerland,
and Germany. And is the recipient of a
number of prestigious research distinctions, including the Mitacs (Canada) best paper award (2010). In addition to having directed a number of
special-topic seminars at the graduate level, he has also taught a wide range
of math courses, including the Calculus sequence and linear programming.
