Emergency Information

UC Denver provides emergency-related information, as appropriate, on a toll-free phoneline, 1-877-INFO-070 (or 1-877-463-6070); online at www.ucdenver.edu/alert; and via the Rave emergency notification tool. Students, faculty and staff can register for this free text and voice messaging service at www.getrave.com/login/ucdenver.

When exteme winter weather conditions develop, UC Denver's normal business operations can be affected. Students, faculty and staff can check local broacast news media (television and radio) for announcements about closures or schedule adjustments. Information also will be available online at www.ucdenver.edu/alert.

Students, faculty and staff connected to the Downtown Campus also can check for recorded updates on the Auraria phoneline, 303-556-2401.

    Fire & Life Safety

    The fire and life safety section of the Office of Facilities and Management is charged with fire and life safety code enforcement, as well as auditing the compliance of campus fire and life safety systems. They also teach campus fire safety and provides guidance to personnel and departments regarding fire prevention methods.

    Personal Safety

    Behavioral evaluation and threat assessment

    The behavioral assessment and threat assessment team (BETA) is a new resource at the University of Colorado Denver that can provide resources and information to faculty, staff or student community members who are confronted with individuals who may be threatening, disruptive or otherwise problematic. BETA is one component of the newly formed university emergency management operations group (EMOG).

    Community standards and wellness

    The Office of Community Standards and Wellness serves as a resource to the entire university community through its efforts to meet the developmental and educational needs of students related to community expectations, civility and respect for self and others. We strive to create a dynamic, open and just environment where civility, cultural competence and learning are expected and celebrated.

    Counseling Center - Downtown Campus

    The UC Denver Student and Community Counseling Center provides mental health counseling services to the UC Denver student body as well as the Denver Metro community.

    Counseling Services - Anschutz Medical Campus

    When students feel they need professional help in working through issues they are facing, AMC provides a team of providers to assist students.

    Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Trans Student Services (GLBTSS) at Auraria

    The Office of Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender Student Services offers a variety of support, education and advocacy services for the entire campus community.

    The Phoenix Center at Auraria

    The Phoenix Center at Auraria is a tri-institutional office on campus that provides free and confidential services to survivors of sexual assault, relationship violence, and stalking. We serve students, staff, and faulty at all 3 Auraria institutions and AHEC.
