Prior to the beginning of each semester, International Student & Scholar Services (ISSS) will provide an individual check-in for each student.
- We review and copy their immigration documents which begin their student file with us and provide a checklist to help your student through their first weeks at UC Denver.
- A few days before classes begin, we also provide a two-hour orientation to explain to students their immigration responsibilities as F-1 students and an overview of the various departments they will need to work with.
- Click here to see the ISSS orientation schedule.
- In addition to our Orientation, students are also expected to attend the UC Denver New Student Orientation.
By Fall 2010, all undergraduate students will follow the same suspension/probation guidelines. You can view the new policy here.
Information about suspension/probation for graduate students will be noted on the specific College or Schools website.
Early Alert for Undergraduate Students
Throughout any semester a student can and may experience academic difficulties or simply need further academic support services to enrich their experience at UC Denver. The College of Liberal Arts & Science implemented an Early Alert System that informs advisors of potential academic issues. In turn the advisor emails the student to set up an appointment to address the issues.
Information on tutoring services for UG or Graduate Students
