The Graphic Design intern will work with ATEL directors and ATEL Graphic Design in executing a variety of graphic design projects for ATEL, based on creative direction and university need provided by ATEL Graphic Design and any relevant "client" resources. This includes but is not limited to:
Duties Include:
- Q/A of existing web pages for design errors (margins, typography, etc.)
- Small Scale Print Production (flyers, brochures, business cards, letterhead)
- Photo Retouching (cropping, color correction)
- Newsletters, reports, powerpoint graphics, and other ATEL staff needs as they arise.
Required Qualifications:
- You must have examples of your creative work for us to review - from business, freelance, or school project - but the work must be wholly your own.
- Ability to take creative direction, then work independently to produce graphics for print and web.
- Strong attention to detail, every little pixel counts.
- Knowledge working with Adobe Photoshop required.
- Working knowledge of Adobe InDesign and Adobe Illustrator a plus.
- Basic knowledge of print production and screen vs. print resolutions (bleeds, typography, etc).
Availability
Our office is open Monday through Friday 7am - 7pm. Each semester the shift hours may changed based on the needs of the department. Ideally, we'd like a student that's available to work 15-20 hours per week.
