How do I login to BlackBoard?

How do I login to eCollege?


What is my username?

If your class is delivered through eCollege or Blackboard, your username is your student number, without the dashes. 

What is my password?

In Blackboard, your password is your PIN# from  S.M.A.R.T. (Downtown Denver Campus) or Pinnacle(Anschutz Medical Campus).  Your PIN# is only 4 digits long and must be entered in all Caps for Blackboard.  If you cannot remember your PIN #, please contact the Registrar's office

In eCollege, you choose your own password when you create your profile. If you forget it, there is assistance at the eCollege login page. But if you can't get your password, you can contact CU Online via email cuonlinehelp@ucdenver.eduor by phone, at 303-315-3700 between 7am-7pm.

Exams and Quizzes

I can't submit my online exam, what is wrong?

While taking an exam through the Blackboard system, you have the option to save your exam throughout the duration of the exam, and may call CU Online between 7am-7pm at 303-315-3700 if you are still experiencing problems. 

I need my exam to be reset.  Who do I contact?

Contact your instructor.  Find their email or phone number listed on the Syllabus and contact them to get your exam reset.

However, your instructor has the discretion to choose not to reset your exam.

Course Pages

Why are my online courses not showing up on my webpage?

Online courses will not show up your Web pages until the semester starts. If you just registered for the course and the semester has begun or is about to, the course(s) will not appear until the next day.

If the semester is in progress, you may either call (720-920-6682) or email the eCollege help desk . If the course is through BlackBoard, you can email CU Onlineor call at 303-315-3700 between 7am-7pm.

Email

How can I change my email address?

You cannot change your email address. If the email address is not the campus email address, please contact CU Online.

If the email account is not functioning, please contact ITS at 303-724-4357 or at ITShelpdesk@ucdenver.edu

Computer Requirement

What are my computer requirements?


Do I have to purchase special software?

No. Any additional software may be downloaded, for free, through the Internet.

eCollege

Why isn't the eCollege server secure?

eCollege has indicated that although the student log-in page is not secured, the rest of the site is secure after students log-in. 

When is the helpdesk available?

24-7. You can contact the helpdesk by phone (720-920-6682), email helpdesk@cuonline.edu, or through chat.  

If you would like to chat, login to your course, click on Help, Click on Helpdesk, and Click on Chat with a Help Desk consultant.
