Cost (and Savings) of Attendance

The CU Denver Financial Services offers more than $70 million in financial assistance to qualified students on the downtown Denver campus each year (divided amongst 12,000+ students).

Out of State Discounted Tuition: Fall 2012 - Summer 2013

You are eligible for the discounted amount if you: live outside of Colorado and take all of your CU Denver courses online.

The discounted non-resident tuition (per credit hour) for College of Liberal Arts and Sciences:

  • UNDERGRADUATE - College of Liberal Arts and Sciences: $448

This amount is higher than the standard in-state tuition, but significantly lower than the non-resident tuition amount.  If you have questions, contact your school/college program coordinator.

Changes If You're An Undergraduate Student

In 2012, the way CU Denver charges tuition will change for certain out-of-state students in online classes.

Exceptions

Some online classes are in CU Denver’s extended campus. The tuition rates of these classes will be set by the schools and programs offering these courses. If you are unsure whether the course you are considering is in extended campus or in main campus (and may be eligible for a tuition discount), please contact your school/college program coordinator.

Tuition and fees at the university have been established by the Board of Regents, the governing body of the University of Colorado, and is subject to change any time.

Please Note: The tuition rates below do not apply to or include Extended Studies credit hours. Tuition for each Extended Studies course is charged in addition to tuition for any "Main Campus" credit hours and is established by the individual University Department/College offering the course. For questions about the tuition rate for a particular Extended Studies course, please contact the offering Department/College.

Tuition for Non-Degree Undergraduate Students

Tuition is charged at the Resident: Junior/Senior rate for non-degree undergraduate students who are Colorado residents. Tuition is charged at the standard non-resident undergraduate rate for non-degree undergraduate students who have not established in-state residency.

Tuition for Courses Taken for No Credit

Tuition for courses taken for no credit (NC) is the same as for courses taken for credit.

Fractional Credit

Fractional credit is regarded as 1 hour in assessing tuition and fee charges.
