Tuition and Finances

Cost (and Savings) of Attendance

The CU Denver Financial Services offers more than $21 million in financial assistance to qualified students on the downtown Denver campus each year.

Out of State, Online Only Discounted Tuition: Fall 2014 - Summer 2015

You are eligible for the discounted amount if you: live outside of Colorado and take all of your CU Denver courses online.

The discounted non-resident tuition (per credit hour) for Undergraduates:

  • Freshman & Sophomore: $440*
  • Junior & Senior: $467*

This amount is higher than the standard in-state tuition, but significantly lower than the non-resident tuition amount. If you qualify for this rate, you must apply at the Registrar's Office by completing this application and affidavit.

Exceptions: Some online classes are in CU Denver’s extended campus. The tuition rates of these classes will be set by the schools and programs offering these courses. If you are unsure whether the course you are considering is in extended campus or in main campus (and may be eligible for a tuition discount), please contact your school/college program coordinator.

COF

College Opportunity Fund (COF) is Colorado's support for higher education utilizing tax dollars. So with it, your tuition is less, but you must take action in order to receive it.

Since there is no distinction between online and on campus courses (some institutions are online only) our in-state undergrads can qualify for this stipend.
