The CU Online Team provides support for faculty and students with their online/hybrid/supplemental courses offered on the Canvas learning management system.​

David Thomas blends a backgro​und in education and technology management into a focus on faculty and student success. He had directed th​e CU online team for the past years. He holds a PhD in architecture and planning and studies the unlikely topic, “fun”.

Patty started her career with the university as a student employee in 1995 for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.  After graduation, she moved to CU Online, where she has been ever since.  As the Assistant Director, Patty manages the day to day operations of the CU Online Academic Tech team, and Marketing Team.​​

Yvonne brings 20 years of marketing and public relations experience to CU Online and utilizes both content and digital marketing strategies to increase awareness and enrollment to CU Denver | Anschutz online degrees and programs. Most days you can find her elbow-deep in the inquiry and engagement portion of CU Online's marketing software dialing in degree campaigns. When she's not at her computer, you'll probably hear her laughing with fellow Office of Information Technology colleagues and possibly on the way to a local coffee shop or bar.​

Crystal’s primary focus is to expand the training and support programs offered to faculty and students at the University of Colorado Denver. She is currently researching online faculty development and ways to impact course quality as a doctoral student at Boise State University.​

Nicky is the Data Manager for CU Online and previously worked as a Data Analyst in the Office of Analytics for Enrollment and Retention. Prior to working with CU Denver, Nicky spent most of his career supporting non-profits in Texas. When he is not playing with data, he enjoys playing games, mountain biking, climbing, backpacking and lots of coffee.

Kate is the central resource for services and programs related to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), sections 503 and 508 of the Rehabilitation Act and relevant standards and university policies. Within the scope of her job, “access” and “usability” embody the notion “universal design”, allowing the widest range of constituents use of OIT systems—with a particular focus on academic systems and the web.

Kim started her career at CU Denver in 1994 as an intern in the Public Relations department while completing her MBA. She then became Executive Director of the Continuing Engineering Education Program for the Engineering department at CU Denver and Director of CU at Interlocken for the CU System. In 2005, she began working for CU Online as its Online Program Development Coordinator. She loves this position because she has the opportunity to support faculty with development grants.

In his role as the Academic and Student Success Manager, Corey is charged with building out the student support services for CU Online.  He works closely with academic departments and student services units to ensure online students have an integrated and seamless experience.  Prior to joining CU Online,  Corey spent six years with the CU Athletics Department on the Boulder campus.  While in Boulder, he served as the Assistant Director for Academics and the Tutoring Director for the Herbst Academic Center for Student-Athletes, where he spent time designing and developing learning experiences for student-athletes.

As Enrollment Navigator for CU Online, John works to provide a smooth and seamless transition for prospective students into the online learning environment. He connects applicants with academic and administrative units across campus and serves to reduce challenges and hurdles to becoming an online learner. Prior to CU Online, John spent two years as the Associate Director of Student Support Services for the Belk College of Business at UNC Charlotte, where he managed enrollment for an MBA program. John also has professional experience in academic, pre-health, and career advising and as a corporate recruiter. Originally from Alabama, John has lived in Florida, Kansas, Virginia, North Carolina, Ohio, and Haiti and loves to travel the world.

Jason is an instructional designer, technologist, and writer/researcher originally from St. Louis, Missouri. He is currently pursuing his Doctor of Education in Organizational Leadership degree from Abilene Christian University, with an expected graduation date in late 2018. Jason’s research interests include collaboration, instructional design, organizational structure, online learning, and leadership in higher education. Other interests include guitars, video games, and anything Tolkien-related!

Alex Karklins is the Academic Services Senior Professional at CU Online, University of Colorado, Denver | Anschutz Medical Campus. He has worked with learning technology as a learning management system administrator since 2008. Alex specializes in finding the right technology for instructors to incorporate in their teaching. In his spare time, he enjoys skiing, hiking, brewing beer, and learning to code.​

Amy Arnold is an Academic Services Senior Professional for CU Online. Amy’s primary focus is to assist faculty through online training and development. She is a huge advocate for embracing new educational technologies and finding ways to implement these new concepts into the online classroom. She is especially interested in video tools and virtual reality.

Sarah has a background in communication and experience teaching online. Her interests center around creating motivating and engaging online learning environments, effective virtual group work, and designing learning experiences which foster student self-regulation. Sarah is currently completing her PhD from the University of Minnesota in education with a focus on learning technologies.

Bradon has a passion for helping students and faculty better understand how technology can enrich the classroom experience. Since 2004 he has held many positions in various education technology roles such as IT Support, Faculty Development, System Administrator and Instructional Designer. In all of these roles Bradon has sought to provide the best education technology solution that meets the needs of today’s modern classroom. When Bradon is not at work, you’ll find him exploring Colorado with his camera. ​
