CU Online Spring 2013 Faculty Seminar Schedule and Center for Faculty Development Workshops
Listed below is the schedule of seminars offered by CU Online that discuss online course development and delivery. These seminars are free to UC Denver faculty on the Downtown Denver Campus (DDC) and the Anschutz Medical Campus (AMC).

Starting this summer, CU Online is rolling out Canvas. This new learning management system will eventually replace Blackboard and eCollege. This training session is a great way to learn about the powerful features and functions of Canvas, learn about moving your courses from Blackboard and eCollege to the new system and get your questions answered by CU Online staff. Are you ready for the next generation of learning management tools? We’re ready to help! (Each session is a two-hour overview of Canvas, free lunch, and then a two-hour open lab for you to work one-on-one with our Canvas experts) |

Canvas Basic Training |
Canvas Basic Training is geared towards faculty who currently use basic functions of a Learning Management System (LMS) or who have never used an LMS before. This training will provide users with a sandbox course to practice in, and will explain how to post class Announcements, upload a Syllabus and other files, and use the gradebook to track student scores.
For those interested in more in-depth training of advanced Canvas features, we offer a 4-hour Canvas Boot Camp or you can schedule a 1 on 1 appointment with CU Online. |

| Summer Web Camp |
A call for proposals seeks faculty interested in developing a new online course during a one week “camp”, June 10 through June 14. Selected campers will enjoy a focused, hands-on course development environment. And with the support from CU Online staff each camper will complete at least 50% of a new online course in Canvas.
Each accepted Summer Web Camp participant will receive $1000 as development funds or a stipend. Breakfasts and lunches, new technologies and pedagogies, giveaways and more make Web Camp productive, memorable and fun! |
