Request a Course Copy and/or Multi-section Course Merge for Blackboard

The form can be used to request the Help Desk to copy course content from one old course shell into a new course shell or to merge multiple sections into one.

A Multi-Section Course Merge entails having CU Online flatten multi-section course shells into one section for simplicity and ease of management. Merging multi-sections differs from a "Sponsor" course merge in SIS. A Sponsor course merge is set in instances where two or more cross-listed courses are taught in the same room, at the same time, and by the same instructor. This differs from a multi-section Blackboard course merge. To set an SIS Sponsor-merge, please contact your College or Departmental Course Coordinator.

Please note: Blackboard users have the ability to copy the course content themselves. The Copy Course Content jobaid can explan how to do this. However, Blackboard users do not have the ability to conduct a multi-section course merge without the helpdesk.
