The Assistive Technology (AT) Loan Bank is funded through contracts with the Colorado Department of Education (CDE) and Early Intervention Colorado of the Department of Health and Human Services. Assistive Technology items are available for loan for children receiving early intervention services and for students with disabilities in Colorado’s Public Schools. Assistive technology can be borrowed through an assistive technology specialist in the schools (Team Coordinator) or through early intervention programs (AT Consultant) such as Community Centered Boards. These specialists work with the child’s team to evaluate their assistive technology needs and trial equipment that may be appropriate.
You do not have to be a Team Coordinator or Early Intervention Consultant to view the AT items in the loan bank; however, loans must go through a SWAAAC Team Coordinator or a designated Early Intervention Consultant.
