Diane Williams is a graduate of the University of Colorado Denver with dual Bachelor’s degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and a minor in Mathematics. She is pursuing a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, specializing in computer engineering, at the University of Colorado Denver. At Assistive Technology Partners, Diane is working on a Social Robotics research project. The project’s goal is to develop a therapeutic robot that will assist infants in the development of reaching arm movement. The research includes evaluation of existing robot platforms to adapt to the projects needs, as well as evaluation of additional sensory hardware to integrate with that platform. She is developing software for a variety of sensors, computer vision software, and an intelligent control framework.
