AURORA, Colo. - The National Council of Negro Women, Inc. (NCNW) recently recognized Rhonda Truesdale, human resources and finance manager for the University of Colorado's Anschutz Medical Campus Police Department.
Truesdale, a Denver native, is the youth director of the Youth Ministry at True Light Baptist Church where she also leads the Wednesday Night Youth Bible Study Group. While not a member of NCNW, she was nominated by a member.
“This is a honor and a surprise,” Truesdale said of the recognition. “I am a behind the scenes person, but I enjoy working with young people, because of their energy and they need to be encouraged and a lot of them need a caring person who will listen to them. I want to be that encouraging person.”
